The big news of the day for the friends of the mobile is that we now have a new player in the Greek market, the vivo, which has entered dynamically, with 4 different devices available already. A few days ago we saw the V23, the most premium mobile phone company up until now, which is aimed at vloggers, with the amazing selfie cameras and the unique design. This time, we got our hands on one of the phones of the series Y, and in particular the Y76 5G.
As its name suggests, it has 5G capabilities, with the range of Y is the most economical step in relation with the V. To Y76 is a mid-range phone, at 329 euros, which aims, as will be seen below, in a wide audience from the one, by providing and gaming features from the other.
Design
The Y76 has an equally balanced design, as the V23: clean, clear lines with a feature-for the company – camera island. At the same time, we have again a special design on the back, which is plastic, with a very premium look, however, playing with reflection of light to make it look sometimes nearly black and other times silver, the color of Midnight Space, we have in our hands.
The edges are rounded, while the device is quite light, the 175 gr., and particularly sensitive to 7.8 mm. The set is very elegant, comfortable enough in the hand and looks much more premium than what one would expect from the category of the device. It is clearly one of the strengths of the device.
Audio-visual experience
The screen Y76 is IPS, the 6,58”, with a resolution of 2408×1080. Unfortunately, it only goes up to 60 Hz, which is not as common, but it is bright enough, 420 nits about, and the color fidelity is quite good, even without any special setting, without, of course, there are many options for that, anyway. Covers the range of sRGB at a rate of rate of 99.4%, and the contrast is satisfactory for use under the sunlight.
The sound is emitted from the bottom only, and we have not, unfortunately, of the second speaker. The frequency response tends to not be very precise when it strengthens the intensity, but clearly do the job right, in particular with regard to the purity of the voice. Positive is also the fact that there is a port 3.5 mm audio jack.
Gaming experience – Performance – UX
The mobile of vivo is clearly intended for gaming use. Incorporates the Dimensity 700 5G MediaTek, a pretty nifty chipset in the medium category, which offers a minimum lag, even under a heavy load, in demanding games and has 5G capabilities. The analysis and the settings for the quality of the graphics are not the ones that will be played clearly in flagship phones, but it is quite satisfactory and the performance is stable, as we have popular games such as Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG.
The operating of the device is the FunTouch OS 12, which “plays” up to Android 12. There are a lot of customization options and available in the classic options for dark mode, support mode multi-window and more, while there is a specialized function for gaming (Ultra Game Mode), as well as the possibility of an extension of the RAM via the save. area, which is already in 8GB and can go to 12GB.
The mobile also features a hybrid SIM tray, which can take either two SIM card or one SIM and one MicroSD.
Cameras
In terms of cameras, the Y76 has a system of three sensors: a 50MP f/1.8, which combined classic with a macro and a depth sensor to 2MP.
The pictures, which produces the device is quite satisfactory for the category, with pretty good clarity in all lighting conditions and with a quite “natural” colors, without υπερκορεσμούς, etc., however, the dynamic range seems a bit small. The secondary sensors also, we have mentioned again that I don’t have great utility, despite the fact that it is extremely common scenario. Video not supported 4K resolution, but in 1080/60, may apply stabilization.
The front camera is 16MP with f/2.9, which also satisfies. There are multiple options for filters and corrections, with a specialization in specific parts of the face.
Autonomy
The battery Y76 is in the 4,100 mAh, and the charging is 44W, via USB-C. This means that charges fully in one hour and a half. H autonomy is also satisfactory, with over a day of use, as the device saves energy in multiple scenarios and the chipset is very efficient.
Conclusion
The vivo Y76 5G to log in to a very popular category, offering a very satisfying experience in every scenario. It doesn’t stand a feature, but we have a very balanced device, which is addressed to a wide audience. Whether you’re going to bother with the gaming potential, whether you need a cell phone with fast charging and good autonomy, the Y76 meet.
